About the School
ConnectUS is partnering with a small, welcoming rural school community in North Dakota seeking a dedicated and passionate Music Teacher (Grades 3–12) for the 2026–2027 academic year. This school offers a supportive environment, small class sizes, and the opportunity to build strong relationships with students and staff.
The Role
The successful candidate will deliver engaging music instruction across upper elementary, middle, and high school grade levels. This may include general music, choir, band, or instrumental instruction depending on experience. The teacher will also play an active role in the school community, including organizing performances and supporting student engagement in the arts.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging, standards-aligned music instruction across grades 3–12

Teach foundational and advanced music concepts including rhythm, melody, harmony, and performance

Lead vocal and/or instrumental programs (choir, band, or general music)

Plan and direct school performances, concerts, and showcases

Create a positive, inclusive, and creative classroom environment

Assess and monitor student progress in musical development

Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to school initiatives

Participate in school events and extracurricular activities where appropriate
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field

Minimum of 2 years of full-time teaching experience

Strong classroom management and communication skills

Ability to teach across multiple grade levels

Experience with vocal and/or instrumental instruction preferred
