A dynamic and forward-thinking middle school is seeking a passionate and skilled Spanish-speaking Math Teacher for the 2026–2027 academic year. This role is ideal for an educator who is fluent in Spanish and experienced in delivering rigorous mathematics instruction while supporting bilingual learners.

The ideal candidate will foster strong mathematical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and academic confidence, while creating an inclusive and engaging classroom environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Middle School Mathematics aligned to state or national standards.

  • Deliver instruction in Spanish (or provide strong support to Spanish-speaking learners, depending on program model).

  • Develop engaging, standards-based lessons that promote conceptual understanding and critical thinking.

  • Use data-driven instruction to assess student progress and inform instructional decisions.

  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse academic needs and language proficiency levels.

  • Foster a structured, positive classroom culture that promotes accountability and academic growth.

  • Integrate real-world applications to make mathematical concepts relevant and meaningful.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum, analyze student data, and strengthen instructional practices.

  • Maintain consistent communication with families to support student success.


Requirements

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the middle school level preferred.

Language Proficiency:
Fluency in Spanish (written and spoken) and strong English communication skills.


Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of middle school mathematics curriculum and instructional best practices.

  • Experience with inquiry-based, student-centered learning approaches.

  • Ability to scaffold instruction for bilingual or multilingual learners.

  • Effective classroom management and differentiation strategies.

  • Passion for equity in mathematics education and student achievement.

Additional qualifications include:

  • A degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree in education or mathematics.

  • Teaching qualifications in your home country for primary or secondary education.

  • At least two years of full-time teaching experience.

  • Proficiency in English.

Visa Sponsorship

This position is eligible under the J-1 Teacher Visa program. The visa process is fully supported and managed in partnership with ConnectUS. The school will cover the cost of a three year visa.
