A student-centered and inclusive K–8 school is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 academic year. This role is ideal for an educator who is committed to supporting diverse learners and ensuring that all students have access to rigorous, meaningful instruction.

The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of individualized instruction, collaboration, and data-driven intervention strategies while fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs in K–8 settings.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines.

  • Adapt and modify curriculum to meet individual student goals and learning profiles.

  • Collaborate with general education teachers to co-plan, co-teach, and ensure appropriate accommodations and supports.

  • Use data-driven practices to monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly.

  • Implement evidence-based strategies to support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and compliance requirements.

  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student growth and support plans.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a collaborative school culture.


Requirements

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Certification:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility for certification).

Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with students with disabilities preferred.


Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction and inclusive practices.

  • Experience working with a range of disabilities, including learning differences, ADHD, ASD, and emotional/behavioral needs.

  • Ability to design targeted interventions aligned with student IEP goals.

  • Effective classroom management and behavior support strategies.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centered learning.

Additional qualifications include:

  • A degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field.

  • Teaching qualifications in your home country.

  • At least two years of full-time teaching experience.
