A forward-thinking middle school is seeking a passionate and engaging Mandarin-speaking Social Studies Teacher for the 2026–2027 academic year. This role is ideal for an educator who is fluent in Mandarin and experienced in teaching social studies at the middle school level within a bilingual or immersion setting.
The ideal candidate will inspire students to think critically about history, geography, civics, and global issues while fostering cross-cultural understanding and international-mindedness.
Key Responsibilities

Teach Middle School Social Studies aligned with state or national standards.

Deliver instruction in Mandarin (or support a Mandarin immersion/bilingual model, depending on program design).

Develop engaging, inquiry-based lessons that promote analytical thinking, discussion, and global awareness.

Integrate diverse cultural perspectives and global contexts into curriculum content.

Use formative and summative assessments to track student progress and inform instruction.

Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners and varying language proficiency levels.

Foster a structured and respectful classroom environment that encourages dialogue and intellectual curiosity.

Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum and strengthen interdisciplinary learning.

Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and achievement.

Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, History, Social Studies, Political Science, International Relations, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the middle school level preferred.
Language Proficiency:
Fluency in Mandarin (spoken and written) and strong English communication skills.
