About the Role:
A high-performing bilingual public charter school in Stockton, California is seeking a passionate and skilled Middle School Spanish/English Teacher for the 2025–2026 academic year. The school provides a dual-language immersion program designed to empower students to become bilingual, biliterate, and academically successful in both English and Spanish.
This is a fantastic opportunity for educators who are enthusiastic about language development, multicultural education, and student-centered learning. The school welcomes international applicants through the ConnectUS J-1 Teacher Visa Program, and will cover all visa-related fees. Support will also be provided for teachers to obtain their California state teaching certification.
Key Responsibilities:

Teach Spanish Language Arts and/or Spanish Social Studies as part of the middle school bilingual curriculum

Design and implement engaging, culturally relevant, and standards-aligned lessons in both Spanish and English

Support language acquisition and literacy development in a dual-language setting

Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of English Learners and native Spanish speakers

Utilize data and assessments to track student progress and guide instruction

Collaborate with other bilingual educators and instructional teams

Maintain strong communication with students, families, and colleagues
-
Participate in school events, family nights, and professional development opportunities
Requirements:
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Spanish, Bilingual Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
Experience:
-
Minimum two years of full-time teaching experience at the middle school level

Experience in bilingual/dual-language programs strongly preferred
Skills & Qualifications:

Fluency in both English and Spanish (required)

Understanding of bilingual education practices and language acquisition strategies

Commitment to educational equity and inclusive teaching

Excellent classroom management and instructional planning skills

Ability to integrate cultural content into language instruction

Hold a degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s in education or a language-related field

Hold valid teaching credentials from your home country
