About the Role:

A welcoming and community-oriented public school in a rural district southwest of Houston, Texas is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Bilingual Kindergarten Teacher for the 2025–2026 school year. This position offers the opportunity to support early childhood learners in both Spanish and English, laying the foundation for academic success and bilingual development in a close-knit school environment.

The school is experienced in working with international educators and will support selected candidates in applying for their Texas state teacher certification. International applicants are welcome to apply through the ConnectUS J-1 Teacher Visa Program.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a bilingual Kindergarten classroom, delivering instruction in both Spanish and English

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate and standards-aligned lessons across core subject areas

  • Foster early literacy and numeracy skills while supporting students’ social-emotional growth

  • Create a warm, engaging, and structured classroom environment conducive to dual language learning

  • Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of English learners and native Spanish speakers

  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly

  • Communicate effectively with families and school staff

  • Participate in school events, training sessions, and team collaboration


Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Bilingual Education, or a related field

  • Master’s degree preferred

Experience:

  • At least two years of full-time teaching experience in early childhood or lower elementary grades

  • Experience in bilingual or dual-language settings strongly preferred

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Fluency in both English and Spanish (required)

  • Passion for working with young children in a bilingual classroom

  • Familiarity with language development strategies and early childhood best practices

  • Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills


For International Applicants:

  • Must meet the eligibility criteria for the ConnectUS J-1 Teacher Visa Program

  • Hold a degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s in education

  • Hold teaching credentials in your home country for early childhood/primary education

  • Have at least two years of full-time teaching experience

  • Be proficient in English and Spanish

  • Support will be provided to obtain Texas certification
