A dynamic K–8 school in Arizona is seeking a passionate and versatile Instrumental Music Teacher to lead its band and instrumental music program for the 2026–2027 school year.

This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who enjoys introducing students to music while helping them develop confidence, discipline, and a lifelong appreciation for the performing arts. The ideal candidate will be comfortable teaching a variety of band and orchestral instruments, including trumpet, clarinet, flute, and other wind instruments, and ideally have the ability to support instruction in guitar or additional instruments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach instrumental music and band classes for students in grades 4–8.

  • Provide instruction in band instruments such as trumpet, clarinet, flute, and other wind or brass instruments.

  • Introduce students to music fundamentals including rhythm, technique, ensemble playing, and music theory.

  • Organize and lead student performances, concerts, and school music events throughout the year.

  • Foster a positive and engaging classroom environment that encourages creativity and collaboration.

  • Differentiate instruction to support students at varying skill levels, from beginners to more advanced musicians.

  • Maintain and organize school instruments and music resources.

  • Collaborate with school staff to support a well-rounded arts program.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or a related field.

  • Experience teaching instrumental music or band, preferably with elementary or middle school students.

  • Ability to play and teach multiple band instruments (trumpet, clarinet, flute, and other wind or brass instruments).

  • Guitar proficiency is a plus.

  • Strong classroom management and the ability to motivate young musicians.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Additional qualifications include:

  • A degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree in Music Education or a related subject.

  • Teaching qualifications in your home country for primary or secondary education.

  • At least two years of full-time teaching experience or equivalent qualifications.

  • Proficiency in English.

  • Strong professional references and character.
