About the Role:
A dynamic and student-centered school in Comfort, TX is seeking a passionate and culturally responsive Middle School Spanish Teacher for the 2025 school year. This role is ideal for an educator committed to fostering global citizenship, language proficiency, and cross-cultural awareness in students. The successful candidate will inspire a love of Spanish language and culture while delivering engaging and differentiated instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned Spanish language lessons to middle school students.

  • Create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes language acquisition and cultural appreciation.

  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners and ensure language proficiency goals are met.

  • Assess student progress using a variety of formative and summative assessments.

  • Incorporate real-world cultural experiences, multimedia, and project-based learning into instruction.

  • Collaborate with fellow educators on interdisciplinary initiatives and curriculum alignment.

  • Maintain open, consistent communication with students, families, and staff.

  • Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to school culture.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at the middle school level.

  • Skills:

    • Proficiency in Spanish and strong understanding of language pedagogy.

    • Ability to implement student-centered instructional strategies.

    • Effective classroom management and strong communication skills.

    • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom.
