About the Role:
A bilingual public charter school in Stockton, California is seeking a passionate and experienced Middle School Math Teacher for the 2025–2026 academic year. The school provides a rigorous dual-language immersion program (English/Spanish) designed to prepare students for college and beyond. This opportunity is ideal for educators who are committed to educational equity, multilingual learning, and developing strong math foundations in middle school students.
Candidates must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
This role is open to international teachers through the ConnectUS J-1 Teacher Visa Program. Visa fees will be fully covered by the school, and international hires will be supported in the process of obtaining their California state teaching certification.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver standards-aligned math instruction for grades 6–8 in both English and Spanish

Scaffold learning for students at varying proficiency levels in math and language

Incorporate project-based and culturally relevant pedagogy into lesson plans

Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners

Use data to monitor progress and adjust instruction accordingly

Create a welcoming, student-centered, and academically rigorous classroom environment

Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, assessment, and school initiatives

Maintain strong communication with families and actively support the school’s bilingual mission

Participate in school-wide professional development and community events
Requirements:
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Math, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
Experience:
-
At least two years of full-time middle school math teaching experience
-
Experience working in a bilingual or dual-language setting is a strong asset
Skills & Qualifications:

Fluency in both English and Spanish (required)

Strong knowledge of middle school math content and instructional strategies

Ability to create inclusive, engaging, and culturally responsive learning environments

Proficient in using technology for instruction and assessment

Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills
