About the Role
A public charter school network in Brooklyn is seeking a dedicated and skilled Middle School Math Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver rigorous, standards-aligned middle school math instruction

Design engaging lessons that promote conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and mathematical reasoning

Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and inform instruction

Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners

Foster a structured, inclusive, and academically focused classroom environment

Build strong relationships with students and families to support student success

Collaborate with grade-level and content teams on curriculum planning and instructional strategies

Participate in professional development, instructional coaching, and school-wide initiatives

Implement positive classroom management strategies aligned with school culture
Requirements
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
-
Degree must be equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree
Experience
-
Minimum of two years of full-time teaching experience preferred
-
Experience teaching middle school math strongly preferred
Skills & Qualifications

Strong content knowledge in middle school mathematics

Ability to deliver engaging, structured, and student-centered instruction

Strong classroom management and communication skills
-
Ability to differentiate instruction and support diverse learners

Comfort using instructional technology and assessment platforms

Experience with data-driven instruction, project-based learning, or inquiry-based approaches preferred

Familiarity with restorative practices or social-emotional learning frameworks is a plus

A degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree in education or a related subject
