About the Role

A prestigious private school in Gulf Stream, Florida is seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School English and History Teacher for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in English Language Arts and History aligned with curriculum standards.

  • Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and analytical writing through literature and historical inquiry.

  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports student engagement and collaboration.

  • Differentiate instruction to support a range of learning abilities and styles.

  • Monitor student progress and use assessment data to guide instruction.

  • Build strong relationships with students and families to support both academic and social development.

  • Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to strengthen curriculum and instructional practices.

  • Integrate technology and interactive learning experiences to enrich classroom instruction.

  • Participate in professional development and contribute to a collaborative school culture.

Requirements

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, History, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a middle school setting.

Skills:

  • Passion for teaching and working with middle school students.

  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a structured, supportive learning environment.

  • Experience with differentiated instruction to support diverse learners.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Additional qualifications include:

  • A degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree in Education, English, History, or a related subject.
