Position: Bilingual Montessori Teacher (Spanish-English)

A well-established public charter Montessori school in Washington, D.C., is seeking a passionate and experienced bilingual Montessori-trained teacher to join its growing immersion program for the 2025–2026 school year.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a dual-language (Spanish-English) Montessori classroom in alignment with the school’s mission and values
- Develop and implement developmentally appropriate Montessori lessons in both languages
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that supports academic, social, and emotional growth
- Collaborate with a co-teacher and instructional team to deliver immersive, high-quality instruction
- Engage with families and the wider school community in a culturally competent manner
Qualifications:
- Montessori certification (AMI/AMS/MACTE-accredited) at the Primary or Elementary level
- Proficiency in both Spanish and English (native or near-native fluency required in at least one)
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Education or related field preferred
- Experience working in a Montessori environment, particularly in a bilingual or immersion setting
- Strong commitment to equity, social justice, and anti-bias/anti-racist education

Additional qualifications include:
- A degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree in special education or a related field.
- Teaching credentials in your home country for primary or secondary education.
- At least two years of full-time teaching experience or equivalent qualifications.
- Proficiency in English.
- Strong character and professional reputation.
