A vibrant and student-centered elementary school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Grade 2 Spanish-Speaking Teacher for the 2026–2027 academic year. This role is ideal for an educator who is fluent in Spanish and experienced in teaching early elementary students in a bilingual or immersion setting.

The ideal candidate will foster strong foundational literacy and numeracy skills while nurturing curiosity, confidence, and bilingual development in young learners.


Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Grade 2 core subjects in Spanish (or within a bilingual/dual-language model).

  • Develop engaging, standards-aligned lessons in literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies.

  • Promote language development and bilingual proficiency through immersive and interactive instruction.

  • Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs and language proficiency levels.

  • Use assessment data to monitor student progress and inform instructional planning.

  • Create a structured, warm, and inclusive classroom environment that supports academic and social-emotional growth.

  • Collaborate with grade-level colleagues to align curriculum and instructional strategies.

  • Communicate regularly with families to support student achievement and development.

  • Participate in professional development and contribute to a positive school culture.


Requirements

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of elementary teaching experience preferred.

Language Proficiency:
Fluency in Spanish (written and spoken) and strong English communication skills.


Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of early elementary literacy and numeracy development.

  • Experience with inquiry-based and student-centered teaching approaches.

  • Ability to scaffold instruction for multilingual learners.

  • Effective classroom management and positive behavior strategies.

  • Passion for bilingual education and cultural exchange.

Additional qualifications include:

  • A degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.

  • Teaching qualifications in your home country for primary education.

Visa Sponsorship

This position is eligible under the J-1 Teacher Visa program. The visa process is fully supported and managed in partnership with ConnectUS. The school will cover the cost of a three year visa.
