A mission-driven charter school in Rochester, New York is seeking a passionate and dynamic Spanish Teacher to join its team for the 2026–2027 school year. Opportunities may be available at either the K–6 or 7–12 level depending on candidate experience and school needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, standards-aligned Spanish language instruction appropriate to assigned grade levels.
- Foster listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills through immersive and interactive lessons.
- Create a positive classroom culture that promotes curiosity, participation, and confidence in language learning.
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs and varying levels of language proficiency.
- Incorporate cultural studies, authentic materials, and real-world applications into daily instruction.
- Use assessments and student performance data to monitor growth and guide instructional planning.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student achievement and development.
- Integrate educational technology and innovative teaching practices into classroom instruction.
- Maintain high academic and behavioral expectations while fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.
- Participate actively in professional development, team meetings, and school-wide initiatives.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Spanish, Foreign Language, or a related field required
- Master’s degree preferred
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of classroom teaching experience preferred
- Experience teaching Spanish at the elementary, middle, or high school level strongly preferred
Skills
- Strong instructional and classroom management abilities
- Native or near-native fluency in Spanish preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to create engaging and culturally responsive lessons
- Familiarity with educational technology and language-learning tools
- Passion for language acquisition, cultural exchange, and student development
