A well-established private school in Jersey City is seeking a nurturing, dynamic, and experienced Kindergarten Teacher to join its early childhood team for the upcoming school year. Key Responsibilities
- Create a warm, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
- Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons across literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional learning
- Foster a love of learning through play-based and inquiry-driven instruction
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
- Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with families
- Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and school leadership
- Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- Experience teaching in an early childhood or Kindergarten setting
- Strong understanding of early literacy and numeracy development
- Experience with inquiry-based and/or play-based learning approaches
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Passion for working with young learners
Preferred (but not required)
- Experience in private or independent school settings
- Familiarity with progressive or child-centered education models
- Experience working with diverse learners
Compensation
- Salary: $48k+, commensurate with experience
