A well-established private school in Jersey City is seeking a nurturing, dynamic, and experienced Kindergarten Teacher to join its early childhood team for the upcoming school year. Key Responsibilities

  • Create a warm, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons across literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional learning
  • Foster a love of learning through play-based and inquiry-driven instruction
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
  • Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with families
  • Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and school leadership
  • Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Experience teaching in an early childhood or Kindergarten setting
  • Strong understanding of early literacy and numeracy development
  • Experience with inquiry-based and/or play-based learning approaches
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Passion for working with young learners

Preferred (but not required)

  • Experience in private or independent school settings
  • Familiarity with progressive or child-centered education models
  • Experience working with diverse learners

Compensation

  • Salary: $48k+, commensurate with experience
